Still Life

Time makes all things grow, and destroys all is a durational still life series of 65 images that document the passage of time on a piece of fruit. This photographic series charts the life, decay and eventual dissolution of a pear that I documented over a course of weeks.

Probing the links between, nature, time and life the work acts as a memento mori series that invites the viewer to contemplate the passage of time. Born in nature and destroyed in nature, this pear is a representation of the growth and destruction of all things and the constantly marching presence of time and change.
